It is no secret that we all have watched our fair share of Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, whatever you fancy during this COVID quarantine. Sometimes I feel like I have seen ALL the things and it takes something really exciting to impress me. I am rounding up my favorite 5 things I have watched over the past few months. Oh yeah, and one of them doesn’t include Tiger King. I couldn’t get passed about the 2nd episode on that one.

5. Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

We know his story, if you don’t then you have been living under a rock. This docuserues dove deeper into the insane story of Epstein and his mysterious life. This is a mini series with only 4 one hour episodes, but it is so interesting. I have personally seen Little Saint James aka Pedophile Island, which made it all more surreal.

“Stories from survivors fuel this docuseries examining how convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein used his wealth and power to carry out his abuses.

4. All American

If you didn’t watch the Friday Night Lights Series, then I’d be 1000% shocked. This is perfect for just a mindless watch. The drama of high school relationships, friendships, hardships, and of course, FOOTBALL. This show is still currently running on The CW. I prefer to binge my shows in a sitting though.

When a star high school football player from South Central is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High school, two separate worlds collide.

3. The Blacklist

I would consider this another mindless watch. You can really get into it, or do a load of laundry during it. I seem to love ABC dramas and this is another one that is still running. There are a total of 6 seasons on Netflix. Making for a lengthy commitment. I have actually watched other shows in between this series, but always come back to it.

An FBI profiler has her entire life changed when a mysterious criminal, Raymond Reddington, who has eluded capture for decades, turns himself in and insists on only speaking to her. Reddington helps her FBI task force in capturing notorious Blacklist criminals.

2. Love Island (UK)

OH MY GOSH, I love this show. Hands down one of my favorite reality shows ever. It is also classy and clean. Not excessive drinking, sexual content, or language. It has made me wonder if this is a thing with UK shows and US shows are just getting out of hand. I just finished the most recent season and I am SAD. The US has attempted a version and Australia has as well, but nothing beats the original UK show. You’ll be chatting in an English accent 5 minutes into it. There are 6 seasons currently on HULU.

A cast of hot young singles arrive at a luxury villa looking for a summer of love and romance, hoping to leave the island with the grand prize of ÂŁ50,000. But in order to claim it, they have to win over each other and the public.

1. Sweet Magnolias

This is such a feel good show. Think Gilmore Girls vibes or Hart of Dixie, if you have seen those. Netflix released a season 1 and it has now been renewed for a season 2. After that finale, there better be a season 2. I watched the whole 10-episode season in about 36 hours and LOVED it.  It has a hallmark charm, so if you are one that gets excited about the Christmas season and those movies, you’ll love this one.

Three South Carolina lifelong friends, best friends since high school,  lift each other up as they juggle relationships, complexities of romance, family and careers in the small South town of Serenity.

I have watched at least 7 other series over the past few months, but these were the 5 that I chose to spotlight. I love getting into a new series, there’s nothing better than getting excited to settle and turn on that show and just forget the whole world.
